| If you would like to get started out as a model with us then please join up to the Academy here. As a member you can view all of our sections about the modelling industry and articles on how to get started out, or how to take your career to the next level as an existing model. You will then also be able to apply for all our modelling jobs and contests, including Grid Girl work. The Academy supplies models all over the UK for work and modelling contests, so no matter where you live you will find something near you. You do not need any professional images to be part of the Academy, and inside you will find all the advice you need in creating your portfolio and what images you will need. You will also find lots of articles on how to avoid the common portfolio scams affecting new models as well. Girls often ask if it is best to join the Academy and then get their portfolio done, or get pictures done first so they have something to display on their profile. We strongly recommend joining the Academy first as not only will you find advice on how to find a good portfolio package or photographer, and what shots you need in your portfolio, but you'll also find articles on what to take to shoots, how to pose, what to wear and so on. Sections inside the Academy also include make up and hair styling and you'll find information on what make up products work well on camera, how to apply your make up for shoots, and how to style your hair. On joining you will also receive a Model Handbook in the post to help you prepare for shoots and how to pose when you get there! |
