All of the four competitions were run over the same day on the 20th November at Project nightclub, and were once again covered by the BBC.

All of the finalists and winners received a lot of publicity, with live interviews and appearances on the BBC, front pages of their local press, and radio appearances as well. Our Model of the Year winner Sam is seen here in a full page feature about her win in The Sun national newspaper!

Samantha Crossman is a mother of two from Middlesborough, and was closely followed by Alice Atreides from Peterborough in second place, and Stephanie Moore from Norwich in third place. Samantha will now be jetting off to Egypt with Kerri this January to shoot her portfolio and official calendar on the Red Sea Rivera and take home thousands of pounds worth of prizes as well! Kerri returns from round the world modelling trip

Kerri left the Academy in the capable hands of her assistants Kathleen and Charley as she jetsetted round the world on various modelling trips this Autumn and winter. Kerri's first stop was Thailand where she was shooting for various magazines including Maxim and Babemag. She spent the week shooting with celebrity photographer Alan Strutt in the trip organised by Celebrity Publicity who are selling images of Kerri around the world.

Kerri then headed off to Fiji at the end of September for the World Supermodel Finals where she won the place to represent England. Kerri made it to the final 12 for the world final out of over 150 countries shortlisted for the competition.

Kerri spent a week on the Amunuca resort and spa taking part in various activities and shoots, before the grand final at the end of September where Kerri came 4th place, and also won the Public Choice Award and the Miss Congeniality for the adult models as well. Kerri was sponsored by Ladbrokes and GMS Law as well as various other companies for the trip, and you can view more details on her personal model website here.

In just the few short days between returning from Thailand there was no time to sleep off the jet lag with a Model Tutorial Day and the Grid Girl calendar shoot the day before flying to Fiji! We are very proud that Kerri managed to not just fit all of that in for the girls but also bring international titles back to the Academy as well!

Top Swimwear Model 2011 Results

The Academy ran their first ever Top Swimwear Model grand final on the 10th July 2011 to help all aspiring swimwear models gain some exposure in the industry and win some fantastic prizes as well!

Created by Kerri this contest is aimed at models who wish to become swimsuit models, and even travel the world with it as Kerri has done on various swimwear campaigns - including her being the face of Starwear US swimwear in Florida!

23 finalists had to compete in a variety of rounds including a Baywatch themed round, a white bikini of their choice, a one piece swimsuit, and a final round where they had to customise their own bikini!

The girls also took part in calendar shoots during the day and group press shoots with Rob Colman of the Daily Star and other publications. Each 2011 finalist will receive her own 2012 official calendar to sell to her fans!

The judges had great difficulty choosing between the finalists who made the top 12 to determine their winners. They all got to watch the 12 finalists in one last round to help them decide who they wanted to take the crown and calendar shoot in Egypt!

It was very close with only one point between first and second place, and the Top Swimwear Model 2011 title was given to our winner Corrine Lee from Lincolnshire. Second place was awarded to Mica Anema from Dereham in Norfolk, and third place went to Casey Holt from Nottingham.

Corrine will now fly to Egypt to shoot her official calendar on the Red Sea Riveria later this year, in an all expenses paid trip.

Corrine has had several press features since her win and will also be featured on the Maxim Magazine website as well.

Competition finalists take part in fundraising events

Finalists from various competitions we run will be taking part in a summer of fundraising with the Academy, to help raise their sponsorship fee's for various competitions and charities as well. We started the fundraising events as we understand it is often hard to find sponsors for competitions, and wanted the girls to have fun, get to know each other, and raise some money for charity as well.

This summer has already seen two bikini car wash events from finalists in the Norfolks Model of the Year and Face of East Anglia contests, which were featured in the local press. The bikini car wash events were held at the Norwich TA centre and money was also raised for Help for Heroes.

Other Academy girls have planned fundraising events in the area to raise money for charity as well, and the girls are now planning a third bikini car wash event with Academy model Maria Allegrino organising them all! Keep up the good work girls and a big thanks to AJ's Valeting and the Norwich TA centre for all of their help!

All of the girls had a fantastic time shooting with Academy photographers Lee, Alan and Roger, and the official 2011 calendar will be on sale shortly!

Calendar girls included official Grid Girl winners Louise Mason, Suzy Deakin, Samantha Coe, Sophie Irving, Laura Schade, Robyn Freeman (pictured right) and Nellie Wong, with runners up and first reserves Natalie Money and Becky Weeks.

The winners also receive the chance to work as Grid Girls for popular racing events such as Thundersport GB or British Superbike Championships, and also appear on TV.

The Grid Girl competition is solely judged on public votes, giving girls the opportunity to campaign to appear in the calendar. Our other contests such as The Model of the Year competition are judged by a panel of professionals and are not decided on public votes, giving girls plenty of options when it comes to our modelling contests!
