Neil Bowler
Location:Rugby, Warwickshire Experience:I started playing around with cameras several years ago but it wasn’t until a friend’s wedding 15 months back that I decided to take it seriously. I’m a member of the SWPP (Society of Wedding &Portrait Photography) and SIFGP (Society of International Fashion & Glamour photography) and have already submitted work to both of these and currently under the mentoring programme with the BIPP(British Institute of Professional Photography) to be assessed for their awards of distinction. I have been lucky enough to learn from a professional that holds four fellowships of distinction and winner of the Kodak Gold award 17 times. I have my first wedding booked in August at La Manior (Raymond Blancs Hotel) which I’m very excited about! My Style:I don’t do Landscapes, I don’t try and make spoons or forks look creative – I’m a people photographer. I love light and how it can be manipulated and used to bring an image to life. I love high key photography but also love low key and being creative with selective light. |
Looking for:I’m mainly looking for paid work and trying to move away from “Testing shoots” although if I feel a model can benefit my portfolio then I’m happy to test with them. One area i am looking to develop is my alternative “Punky” look so if you feel that’s you please get in touch. About me:I’m 31 and living in Warwickshire, I have a house, I’m engaged, and have a two year old boy and a very smelly cat named Matilda. I work full time as an IT Consultant and trying to build a successful part time business in photography. So, some say I’m a geek but i say IT breeds a wealth of hip and funky people that do it for the money. I’m yet to attend one of the tutorial days due to being so busy but must get my rear down there!
