Official 2010 Grid Girls Calendar shoot
The Academy launched it's 2009 Grid Girl calendar contest in January 2009, lasting until July. Split into 4 rounds, over 1000 girls entered each round which were whittled down to a top 100 per round. The top 100 girls per round were given a month to secure as many votes from the public as possible, and the top 3 girls with the most votes won a place in the official calendar!
Shown here are our final calendar girls, and contest winners! All of the girls became Grid Girls for the day for Thundersport GB at Snetterton race track in July, and shot for the official calendar with Academy photographer Lee Harvey. The girls also featured on Motors TV and in an Academy promotional video, and have been featured on the Nuts and Loaded websites as well. Amy Walton from Cheshire walked away as the overall winner being crowned 'Miss Foxhill Motorcross 2009' and appearing on the front of the calendar!
The official 2010 Grid Girl calendar has been snapped up and produced by Global Calendars the UK's biggest calendar company! It is currently for sale on their websites and we have linked to it in the Academy shop.
A big thank you to Kerri for organising the entire contest, the four rounds, and the calendar shoot. Check out the Grid Girls page in the Models section if you want to enter the 2010 competition and appear in the 2011 calendar!
