December 18th 2009: Winner announced, contest featured on the BBC, and much more!

Wow what a hectic couple of weeks since the final! Over 400 guests turned up to the red carpet event at Sprowston Manor in Norwich, and 30 finalists competed for the title of Model of the Year 2010! Talitha Minnis aged 17 from Lowestoft walked away as the overall winner taking home the crown, and lots and lots of prizes! (£13,000 prize jackpot!)

It was a very close contest with runners up Emma Watson coming in second place, and Danielle Sheehan in third! Since the final the BBC has given the event a lot of coverage, from featuring the story of how Kerri set up the contest on the BBC England homepage seen by millions, to various radio appearances where Talitha and the runners up joined her live on air as well!

We have finished shooting the official Model of the Year calendar which can you can see here with Talitha on the cover, this will be available soon to purchase. Heats have started now for the 2010 grand final which is already being organised! Have a lovely christmas everyone! Love Kerri and the team xxx
       
   

October 30th 2009: Information for the evening!

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates we have all been very busy organising the 2009 grand final! The grand final will be on the 20th November at Sprowston Manor in Norwich, doors will open at 7pm. For tickets to this exclusive event please see the Academy online store, be quick as we have almost sold out already!

We are currently confirming judges for the final, and can confirm that a radio presenter, racing organiser, and local bar owners will form part of the judging panel! Channel 5 TV presenter Rob Lamarr will be presenting on the evening, with a special performance by local talent Ria Ritchie as well!

June 11th 2009: Welcome to more 2009 finalists and sponsors, and news about the official launch party!
   

A big welcome to even more Model of the Year 2009 finalists! We now have 12 finalists from all over England, and even one from Wales! You can view these on the 2009 finalists link and read about where each girl is from and what they do as a day job. The majority of the finalists are not models but normal girls with 9-5 jobs or students, in fact nearly all of them had never modelled before they joined the Academy!

Another big welcome to all our 2008 sponsors who have come back to support us a second year including Max Giamello hair salon, House of Fraser, Fitness First and Bella Italia, and a warm welcome to all our new sponsors including Indulge, Miss Fit UK and many more!

Our 2009 Model of the Year warm up party will be held at Indulge on July 2nd where we will be officially launching the contest for this year and holding a live modelling contest to find another finalist!

       
       

February 20th 2009: Celebrity judges announced

We are pleased to announce two more celebrity judges for our upcoming Model of the Month contests. Miss February will be judged by beauty queen, and owner of True Model Media Rachael Baughn. Rachel found fame on national TV as a beauty queen contestant and has since published a book, and won Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Miss March will be judged by FHM High Street Honey winner, and four times FHM covergirl Natalie Pike who can currently be seen on Nuts TV assisting them with the search for a glamour model.

February 1st 2009: Miss January winner revealed

We are pleased to announce that our celebrity judge Rachel Rice has chosen Sarah Arnold from Cambridge as our Miss January winner! Rachel thought Sarah looked stunning in her pictures, and had a tough time choosing between so many gorgeous entrants! The Miss January contest attracted over 60 entrants this year! Joining Sarah as one of our first Model of the Year 2009 finalists in Louise Daynes from Norwich who won the live modelling contest at our January Model Tutorial Day!

January 13th 2009: Big Brother winner Rachel Rice

Welcome to our Model of the Year 2009 contest! We are very excited about preparing for this years final and are looking to make it bigger and better than ever. Last years grand final was a huge success even though we had less than a month to plan it and only two weeks to sell tickets! So this year we are starting to plan the final from January to ensure its the biggest modelling event Norwich has ever seen.
We are very excited to announce that Miss January will be judged by celebrity, and Big Brother winner Rachel Rice!
