The Academy teamed up with the Miss Great Britain organisation to run several heats for them for 2010, after officially purchasing the Miss Norfolk franchise. The Miss Norfolk grand final was a huge success and was also filmed by Channel 4 for a documentary they were doing on one of the finalists which was shown this autumn.

The Miss Norfolk competition drew such a huge response from girls in the region that we decided to run a couple of more heats around the UK for the Miss Great Britain organisation - to help more new models fulfill their dreams of becoming a beauty queen.

Our three winners attended the Miss Great Britain grand finals this December in Weston Super Mare and did extremely well to get to the grand finals, we are very proud of them! You can read a bit more about each winner below, please click the images to see the rest of the finalists in each contest!

We have teamed up with Miss Great Britain and their new owners again this year to run the Miss Norfolk 2011 competition, for more information on how to enter and to view more details please click here . The Academy regrets that it will not be able to run the Devon and Suffolk heats again this year due to too many other pageant commitments with The Model of the Year and Teen competitions.

We bought the Miss Norfolk franchise to run the official heat for the Miss Great Britain contest, and the first heat we held for them was a great success!

Kerri was previously the Miss Norwich winner for The Miss Great Britain contest in her early years of modelling and is thrilled to be taking over the contest. (Kerri also won Miss Norfolk for Miss England as well!)

She has since then judged the Miss Norwich heats and has changed the name to Miss Norfolk to cover a wider area for girls to enter in the region.

The Miss Norfolk final was held Thursday 6th May 2010 at the prestigious Sprowston Manor where 40 contestants competed for the title and over £1000 worth of prizes!

Louise Daynes, a legal secretary aged 19 from Norwich walked away with the winners crown, and the fantastic jackpot of prizes which included £500 worth of Max Giammello hair salon vouchers, and a £500 professional website from Broadland Media Design.

In second place was Emma Elphick from Dereham, and in third place was Danielle Sheehan from Diss. Charlotte Bunting and Zoe Grant also made the top 5! Sammy Hudson also walked away as the winner of ''The Miss Charity Norfolk'' 2010 award, after she raised the most for our chosen charities!

The Miss Suffolk 2010 competition for Miss Great Britain was organised by Kerri and the Academy team, where ten finalists competed for the title on Thursday 8th July at the Hotel Victoria in Lowestoft.

The girls spent the day rehearsing for the pageant, and also took part in a group photoshoot for the Daily Star on the beach before the doors opened at 7pm, with Academy press photographer Rob Colman.

100 guests came along to watch the competition, which was split into an opening clubwear round,a swimsuit round, and an evening wear round where the girls were also interviewed by Kerri on stage about their careers and hobbies as well.

The 5 judges had a very tough decision, and in the end chose Rebecca Johnson from Bury St Edmunds as their winner!

It was very close with just one point between first and second place, which went to Bhavana Suri, and in third place was Amber Whelan. Charlotte Bunting and Jamie Winyard came joint forth place in the competition.

Judges included Suffolk dancer - and Model of the Year 2009 winner Talitha Minnis, and Matthew Schader from Thundersport GB racing series. Judges also included Rob Colman from The Daily Star and top author and photographer Adrian Dewey from Studio One in Peterborough.

A big thank you goes to Adrian at Soundwaves Entertainment who helped organise the DJ, lighting, venue, flowers and much more! Also a big thank you to the Hotel Victoria for letting us use their venue, and to Fitness First in Ipswich and Gorleston golf club for supplying prizes.
